The Federal Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans MC is located in Australia's Capital City of Canberra with members coming from all parts of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and southern parts of Eastern New South Wales. The Chapter was officially formed in August 2001 with 12 members fondly tagged as the Dirty Dozen who proudly displayed this wording along with Charter Member on a patch on their vests. At present the Federal Chapter is prospering with full, veteran, associate and supporter members, and continues to provide a social and support network for it's members, selected charities and the general veteran community. The V.V.M.C. Federal Chapter dedicate a lot of time and resources in supporting charities and other groups who support veterans welfare, as well as participating in other biker related activities. The V.V.M.C. Federal Chapter attends and participates in numerous functions throughout the region, most notably ANZAC Day on April 25 and Vietnam Veterans Day (Long Tan Day) on August 18. The V.V.M.C. Federal Chapter welcomes new members and would especially love to hear from Vietnam Veterans, however there are some requirements and conditions to note if you're interested in joining the chapter. All prospective members are required to provide proof of ownership of a motorcycle with a minimum engine capacity of 750cc, and proof of service if applicable. Everyone will need to prove their commitment to the club principals and the ability to fit in with other members through a strict probationary period.
